justin and i went on a two day camping trip to our property in tonasket.

camping out of a truck sure offers a lot more convienances then backpacking.

we decided we wanted plenty of room in our tent for those conviences so we got an 8 person tent.

nice and roomy! the way tent camping should be.

we were a little suprised to get to our land and find a bunch of cattle on it. there were about 70 head of cattle roaming the area. its free range land and so unless we put a fence up, we have cow visitors wandering through.

the cows arent bad. the only thing you notice is they eat the wildflowers. our neighbors have a fence up and you can see the difference. it is greener on the other side of the fence! the owners of the cattle were rounding them up on horse back when we were leaving. the cows are moving to national forest land so they wont be there when we get back.

our neighbors are building a castle. pretty impressive structure on the top of the mountain.

relaxing and watching the sun go down.

building the campfire.

picture of the valley below.

they tell us there is good fishing up in these parts. but i didnt catch a thing. so i am not convinced. 22 bucks for a fishing license for nothing!

the cascade mountains on our way home.
