deploying to panama. i can tell you that m-16s fit quite well in the overhead bins.

practicing rapelling.

riding the helicopters into ft sherman, panama.

preparing for a live fire in the jungle.

doing business with the locals.

getting ready for a helicopter ride over the canal.

under the blackhawk over panama.

riot training in panama. apparently US soldiers were often called to quell unrest so the in country soldiers had to go through riot training.

we never got to do any actual riot work but the training was fun.

water ops in panama. here the bird is coming in to pick us up and we are going to load the boat into it.

one of my least favorite activities in the army, helo casting. the helicopter would fly over the river at this height and would jump out of the back into the water. it was really freaky at night.

getting practice in at the sniper range.

our sniper range was nice. they had a three story tower to shoot from with plenty of lanes.

firing down range. the range had metal targes every hundred meters for 1100 meters.

all cammo'd up and ready to go into the "box".

this soldier was in my recon team. what i remember most about him is he used to always snore in the field and we would have to wake him up and yell at him.
